Blizzcon Rumor Mill Round Up – Diablo IV

We are on the week of Blizzcon, and gamers everywhere are anticipating one of the biggest conventions in gaming. Blizzcon.

After an exceedingly tough year at Blizzard with controversies and fans of their games becoming disappointed, the gamers will be looking toward Blizzard to make some real positive strides across all of their franchises to improve customer relations, as well as the games that they are putting out.

No matter your opinion on Blizzard themselves, whether it’s the disappointment that is currently retail World of Warcraft, the forgotten games of Diablo, Starcraft and Heroes of the Storm, or you’re a fan of Hearthstone or Overwatch, this Blizzcon is looking to have something for everyone.

Without further ado, here’s our roundup of the rumor mill in the run-up to Blizzcon 2019.

Diablo 4 – Confirmed?

This one came about around the 21st October when game websites such as IGN began breaking news that Diablo 4 has been all but officially confirmed with an advert for the latest Diablo Art Book.

Members of the gaming community dismissed this initially as it could easily have been a misprint, as Blizzard is famously actively developing Diablo: Immortal. It’s not unreasonable after all, that this was a mistake, and the art is from Immortal.

On the 28th October, game websites once again started reporting that the Diablo 4 leak is in fact true. A screenshot of the art page was shared by the WeakAuras Twitter account with a section of the page highlighted, that reads the following:

“Lilith’s debut in Diablo IV is a reimagining of of her form that is far different from her previous appearance”

It looks like we have seen Diablo IV all but officially confirmed, so fans of the series should be checking out one of the mystery panels at Blizzcon to get all the info on Diablo IV.

As always, these are purely rumours, and images could have been doctored just to build hype. After all, Blizzard is not ignorant to leaks and data mining. Sending a few red herrings our way before Blizzcon would be pretty cool, however, I think players would be excited to see what Blizzard make of Lillith in Diablo IV.

We’ll be covering further rumours on the run-up to Blizzcon, as well as the convention itself, so keep your eyes on Lazyshark Gaming for more information.
